On September 15th, the Church of Cala Figuera in Santanyí will host a percussion concert that promises to be a unique experience for contemporary music lovers. Carlota Cáceres, a distinguished percussionist with an impressive career, will present a program that explores musical perception and its ability to transform our view of the world.

Carlota Cáceres is known for her versatility and commitment to contemporary music. After completing her studies in Badajoz and at the Hochschule für Musik der Stadt Basel, Carlota has won several awards and has collaborated with some of the most innovative ensembles in today’s musical landscape. Additionally, she currently resides in Palma and teaches at the Conservatorio Superior de las Islas Baleares, combining her freelance career with teaching.
In her concert, Carlota explores how music can influence individual perception. Through works by composers such as Sciarrino, Bauckholt, Hosokawa, Cueco, and Saariaho, Carlota invites us to reflect on how music can change our way of seeing the world. Her central idea is that each perception is unique and that music can be a powerful tool for exploring different realities.
